ALTON Towers have revealed details of some of the news rides and attractions coming to the park later this year.
The theme park shared a teaser image and revealed that it will be opening the Alton Towers Dungeon on March 23.
The image reveals the towers as well as a boat being guided through the dark with a rather creepy looking boat master.
Guests appear to be led through the eerie ride on water, with chains and bats in the distance.
A number of spooky surprises and scary experiences are to be expected as the ride takes guests on a “hilariously hideous journey through Staffordshire’s darkest history”.
Information on the ride itself is yet to be released, although it will cost an additional £5 to enter the dungeon.
While the ride can be found in the park, it is a separate attraction with entry not included in a standard day pass.
However, season pass holders can visit the Alton Towers Dungeon for free.
The ride is only for guests aged 10 and above, though.
The new ride replaces the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory attraction at the park.
Other new attractions to open this year are Alton Towers Stargazing pods, which can be booked for an overnight stay.
The camping-style pods, due to open in April 2019, can sleep up to four people and are found near the Enchanted Village at the south east corner of the resort.
