CHRISTMAS is still coming to a number of theme parks this year, which is great news for families wanting to give their kids a festive experience.
Alton Towers, Legoland and Paultons Park, home to Peppa Pig World, have all revealed their Xmas festivities, which includes sleepovers with Father Christmas and free presents.
Many Christmas events have been cancelled this year due to the pandemic, such as light displays and markets.
Thankfully, theme parks are going ahead with their own festive attractions starting from next month.
Alton Towers is offering Santa sleepovers where families can stay at the resort’s hotels and meet him.
On select dates in November and December, other festive activities include visit to a Santa’s grotto, a free present, as well as dinner, breakfast, and access to the gardens and some areas of the park.

Santa will also appear at Legoland this year, driving through the park on his sleigh.
Carol singing, a Duplo puppet pantomime and light show are all new at the theme park as well this year.
Stay at the Legoland hotel and you get all the perks including dinner, breakfast and character meet and greets, along with a Christmas letter and Lego gift for all kids.
At Paultons Park, families can meet Peppa Pig and her friends all dressed up in Christmas outfits.
Their Santa’s Special Christmas Show will also feature the man himself as well as special performances from Frosty the Snowman and the reindeer.
James Mancey, Operations Director at Paultons Park said: “Christmas at Paultons Park is a tradition for many families and so we set ourselves the challenge to deliver the spirit of Christmas through a new programme of activities and events, with safety remaining at the forefront of our minds.”
Prebooking is essential if heading to any of the parks, due to limited daily capacity, while additional sanitising stations are also in place.
Each theme park also has different rules for wearing face masks – guests over the age of 11 must wear them at Alton Towers, while anyone aged 11 or over must wear them at Legoland and Paultons Park.
