CLOSING time at theme parks is always full of screaming kids who don’t want to leave, but now die-hard fans can take a piece of the park home with them.
Alton Towers is selling off parts of its old log flume ride on eBay.
Items being auctioned off by the Staffordshire theme park include the old flume boats and signs.
Even the old height restriction guide that ruined the hopes and dreams of so many pint-sized youngsters is up for grabs.
There are 38 items in total for sale, with the money raised going to Merlin’s Magic Wand – a charity for disabled and disadvantaged children.
The auction ends on September 13 and many of the goods have already raised bids of more than a thousand pounds after starting at just 99p.
Unsurprisingly, most of the goods carry significant signs of wear and tear after being used on the theme park ride for several years.
Alton Towers closed its log flume ride Ripsaw last year, after operating it for 34 years.
Guests traditionally rode logs on the flume but they were changed to bathtubs as part of a makeover in the early Noughties.
It is these bath tubs that are up for sale on eBay.

An Alton Towers spokesperson said at the time: “It is never an easy decision to take out rides, however, as we look to our long term future, it is essential that we continue to invest in thrilling new attractions and experiences.”
There is now only one water-based ride in the park – the Congo River Rapids.
